Un Regalo

Estaba esperando una ocasión “especial” para poner esta genial canción de The Beatles, grabada en febrero de 1968 junto con Lady Maddona, antes de irse para la India, es Hey Bullgod, tal vez pocos la conozcan.

Esta canción no apareció publicada hasta 1969 como parte de la banda sonora “Yellow Submarine”, según dice Geoff Emerick, el ingeniero de sonido de la banda, esta fue, tal vez, la ultima canción que ellos grabaron con ánimos y motivados, en el vídeo se puede ver el feeling, nada comparado con el video de “Let it Be”. segun leí por ahí esta canción partió de un boceto que tenia guardado Ono Lennon, y que fue grabado aprovechando que tenían que estar en el estudio mientras eran filmados para hacer el vídeo promocional de “Lady Madonna”. En mi concepto, es una de mis preferidas de la banda. De esta canción me gusta todo, el piano, el magistral bajo, el solo de guitarra, los ladridos de Paul y la locura del final, ya que de lo sencilla que es, sale un genial sonido y una letra que tal vez nunca olvidare. copio algo de “The Spanish Beatles Page“:

La canción no iba a llamarse en principio “Hey Bulldog”, pero en la improvisación en la que los Beatles solían acabar las canciones que terminaban con el volumen fundiéndose, Paul empezó a ladrar, y se decidió incluir la frase “Hey Bulldog”.”

Este es mi regalo, una buena canción, si a alguien le importa, escribo un dia después por que no quize hacerlo antes…ojalá ese día haya sido un buen dia. ademas ando (menos mal) algo ocupado.

La canción es “Let It Happen” de Jimmy Eat World, video de una presentación en el show de David Letterman en mayo. es mucho mejor la versión del CD.
